Half a decade of mob programming

How many things have you done every single work day for 5 years straight? Mob programming has been in my team’s life as naturally as coffee breaks, weekly department meetings and git push.

Javascript frameworks have come and gone, but we’re still mobbing. For the first two years, in person at the office and after that remotely.

Some of the benefits for our team have been knowledge sharing, high quality work and having fun together. While working in the mob, our decisions are better than our individual ones, we are more likely to prioritize continuous improvement and we take advantage of each other’s strengths. We have had our conflicts and our problems, but we still prefer this way of working over anything else..

In this talk, I’ll share my experiences from working together as a team on the same code every day. If you’re curious about what that could look like, come to hear that story. If you’ve tried it yourself but are not convinced, this talk will give you some tips to be able to move past those obstacles. Regardless of whether you’re interested in adding some mob sessions or doing it full time, come to this session to get some insights on what successful mob programming can look like.
