Their particular obsessions are API design and development, performance, Observability and code-base modernisation, as well as eliminating unnecessary complexity wherever possible. Andrew Murphy started his career as a Software Engineer but, after a decade in technology leadership, he decided to focus on teaching the skills that he learnt the hard way. When he moved into leadership there was no support, so he had to make all the mistakes (a lot of them!) and learn from them.

His goal is now to make sure that tech leaders don’t have to do things the hard way by providing them with the mindsets and skillsets that can make them happy, confident and effective leaders.

I've been working as a .NET developer for over 16 years now in a variety of industries including government, retail and manufacturing. But I've been hacking around with computer code since I was old enough to read my Dad's copy of the ZX Spectrum BASIC coders manual. 

I've been speaking about Functional C# at various user groups and conferences around the UK, USA,  Europe and Australia and am particularly interested in seeing just how far we can push C# without breaking it.  

In 2023 I released my first technical book: "Functional Programming with C#", published by O'Reilly Media.

From 2018 he worked at the Norwegian "National Criminal Investigation Service", more commonly known as Kripos.

Tanya Janca, aka SheHacksPurple, is the best-selling author of 'Alice and Bob Learn Secure Coding', 'Alice and Bob Learn Application Security’ and the ‘AppSec Antics’ card game. 

Over her 28-year IT career she has won countless awards (including OWASP Lifetime Distinguished Member and Hacker of the Year), spoken all over the planet, and is a prolific blogger. 

Tanya has trained thousands of software developers and IT security professionals, via her online academies (We Hack Purple and Semgrep Academy), and her live training programs. Having performed counter-terrorism, led security for the 52nd Canadian general election, developed or secured countless applications, Tanya Janca is widely considered an international authority on the security of software. Tanya currently works as Staff DevRel at Semgrep.

Austin is a founding director of Sixty North, a software consulting, training, and application development company. A native of Texas, in 2008 Austin moved to Stavanger, Norway where he helped develop industry-leading oil reservoir modeling software in C++ and Python. Prior to that he worked at National Instruments developing LabVIEW, at Applied Research Labs (Univ. of Texas at Austin) developing sonar systems for the U.S. Navy, and at a number of telecommunications companies. He is an experienced presenter, teacher, and author, and he is an active member of the open source community. Austin holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Martin is a Developer Advocate at Honeycomb, o11y enthusiast, and a delivery-focused Developer from the UK. Patricia Aas is an international speaker and has spoken at CppCon, ACCU, C++OnSea, NDC Security, NDC Oslo and many other conferences on subjects ranging from Sandboxing in Chromium to Vulnerabilities in C++. She has taught a range of subjects in Computer Science at the University of Oslo.

Patricia has a masters degree in Computer Science and 13 years professional experience as a programmer, most of that time programming in C++. During that time she has worked in codebases with a high focus on security: two browsers (Opera and Vivaldi) and embedded Cisco telepresence systems.

Gosia is a full-stack developer specialising in .NET and React, with a knack for test automation, DevOps and building reliable, user-friendly applications. After graduating in Automatic Control and Robotics, she discovered her passion for programming and hasn’t looked back since.

Niels Tanis has got a background in .NET development, pentesting and security consultancy. He is Microsoft MVP and has been involved in breaking, defending and building secure applications. He joined Veracode in 2015 and right now he works as a security researcher on a variant of languages and technologies related to Veracode’s Binary Static Analysis service. Alan Smith is an AI and ML developer, trainer, mentor and evangelist at Active Solution in Stockholm. He has a strong hands-on philosophy and focusses on embracing the power and flexibility of cloud computing to deliver engaging and exciting demos and training courses.

I'm a Norwegian developer who seeks to reduce the amount we rely on factors outside of our control. My professional experience spans from web development to real time safety critical systems, having worked for private and public companies in the domains of maritime, defence and public services.

At age 9 little David found an old book called "Electronic Computational Machines" at the library and, after reading it in a single weekend, decided that this was what he wanted to do with his life. Daniel Yuschick brings over 15 years of experience at the intersection of design and development, specializing in creating accessible and resilient design systems. Starting as a designer and transitioning to frontend development, Daniel has taken on Lead Design Systems Developer roles where he thrives on bridging the gaps between design and code while focusing on the aspects of the web he loves most. He contributes technical articles to various online publications and mentors aspiring developers through the Helsinki-based non-profits Codebar and Hive Helsinki. Jerry Nixon is a Microsoft SQL Server Principal Product Manager on the Developer Experiences team, championing Data API builder. With more than two decades of experience, Jerry is an engineer at heart. He teaches Computer Science at university and speaks at events worldwide. Over the years, he has trained thousands of developers, but today, he focuses on software simplicity, intuitive tooling, and excellence in data-driven apps. You'll find him talking about quantum computing, design patterns, machine learning, and—on occasion—SQL Server, the finest of them all. Marcel Britsch is an independent Digital Consultant, Product Owner and Agile Transformation specialist. Born in Germany, he has been living and working in London for over 20 years. He has worked with creatively and technically focused agencies and clients across retail, conservation, automotive, finance, healthcare and energy.

Aurora Scharff is a software developer and Microsoft MVP from Norway with a bachelor's degree in Robotics and Intelligent Systems. She has a solid foundation in engineering mathematics, robotics, algorithms, data structures, and computer architecture. Aurora began her career at a financial technology startup and now serves as a consultant at Crayon Consulting. She focuses on web development and has extensive experience in React and Next.js and active use of React Server Components.

Aydin Mir Mohammadi, partner and architect at bluehands, has been creating software for more than twenty years. He specializes in the development of distributed complex business applications based on Microsoft technologies. 

Aydin is co-initiator of the .NET User Group Karlsruhe, organizer of the Green Software Development Karlsruhe and host of the #nossued Open Space. He is also involved in the training of young software developers as a lecturer at the Karlsruhe Cooperative State University.


James Eastham is a Serverless Developer Advocate at Datadog and a Microsoft MVP. He has over 10 years of software experience at all layers of the software development process and has spoken at conferences all over the world.

He answered phones in front-line support, administered databases, and built SSIS packages, as well as developed cloud-native backends with serverless technologies. He spent time at AWS working with some of the biggest companies on the planet, migrating workloads from data centers into the cloud and modernizing in the process.

James produces content on YouTube focused on architecting and building applications with serverless technologies using .NET and Rust. He also has a strong interest in and expertise in event-driven architecture and building more loosely coupled systems.

Erwin Staal is an Azure Architect and DevOps consultant working for Xebia in the Netherlands. Helping companies deliver their software to customers using DevOps practices and cloud-native architectures is what he loves to do. He believes in the power of both the monolith and microservices and prefers to run his workload on the Azure Cloud and/or Kubernetes.

Peter Hilton is a product manager, developer, writer, speaker, trainer, and musician. Peter’s professional interests are no-code automation, software functional design, and software documentation. Øystein Hagen Blixhavn is passionate about getting stuff done, in basically all senses of the words. If it reduces wasteful effort and time, fantastic. If it improves the developer experience and increases their flow, amazing! This aspiration has led him to roles as system- and platform architect and platform developer, because these roles are directly concerned with increasing rate of stuff getting done.
