Geologist by background – MSc University of Wisconsin-Madison, American, started working for Equinor in Houston in 2015 as a geologist on the data management team. Learned Python to automate most of my work and started moving into more interesting analytics projects. Transferred to the Stavanger Equinor office in 2018 as an expat to do technical data science full time for Exploration including implementing data analytics, data visualization, Python workflows, and machine learning with various teams. That evolved into Agile Product Owner roles for two cloud data engineering projects to provide data for data science work – a major gap we highlighted early on. Today I have localized in Norway as the Leader for Data Science and Analytics, responsible for the implementation of data science into all parts of Equinor’s subsurface value chain – from exploration to production. In my free time I am a competitive runner on the club level – everything from track to ultramarathons and also mountaineering and skiing.”
