I'll examine how blurring the traditional boundaries between design and engineering has shaped the role of Design Engineering in the future of software design. Diana is GitHub’s Head of Design, where she and her team strive to deliver a developer experience that empowers and transforms the world of software development. Diana oversees Product Design, Design Infrastructure, Brand and Marketing Design, Customer Research, and Design Engineering. Her team is responsible for the end-to-end user experience of GitHub's products and features—such as Pull Requests, Actions, and Copilot—as well as brand direction for marketing campaigns and key events such as GitHub Universe.
