Andrew Murphy started his career as a Software Engineer but, after a decade in technology leadership, he decided to focus on teaching the skills that he learnt the hard way. When he moved into leadership there was no support, so he had to make all the mistakes (a lot of them!) and learn from them.

His goal is now to make sure that tech leaders don’t have to do things the hard way by providing them with the mindsets and skillsets that can make them happy, confident and effective leaders.

I've been working as a .NET developer for over 16 years now in a variety of industries including government, retail and manufacturing. But I've been hacking around with computer code since I was old enough to read my Dad's copy of the ZX Spectrum BASIC coders manual. 

I've been speaking about Functional C# at various user groups and conferences around the UK, USA,  Europe and Australia and am particularly interested in seeing just how far we can push C# without breaking it.

Over her 28-year IT career she has won countless awards (including OWASP Lifetime Distinguished Member and Hacker of the Year), spoken all over the planet, and is a prolific blogger. 

Tanya has trained thousands of software developers and IT security professionals, via her online academies (We Hack Purple and Semgrep Academy), and her live training programs. Having performed counter-terrorism, led security for the 52nd Canadian general election, developed or secured countless applications, Tanya Janca is widely considered an international authority on the security of software. Tanya currently works as Staff DevRel at Semgrep.

Austin is a founding director of Sixty North, a software consulting, training, and application development company. A native of Texas, in 2008 Austin moved to Stavanger, Norway where he helped develop industry-leading oil reservoir modeling software in C++ and Python. Prior to that he worked at National Instruments developing LabVIEW, at Applied Research Labs (Univ. of Texas at Austin) developing sonar systems for the U.S. Navy, and at a number of telecommunications companies. He is an experienced presenter, teacher, and author, and he is an active member of the open source community. Austin holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Patricia Aas is an international speaker and has spoken at CppCon, ACCU, C++OnSea, NDC Security, NDC Oslo and many other conferences on subjects ranging from Sandboxing in Chromium to Vulnerabilities in C++. She has taught a range of subjects in Computer Science at the University of Oslo.

Patricia has a masters degree in Computer Science and 13 years professional experience as a programmer, most of that time programming in C++. During that time she has worked in codebases with a high focus on security: two browsers (Opera and Vivaldi) and embedded Cisco telepresence systems.

Gosia is a full-stack developer specialising in .NET and React, with a knack for test automation, DevOps and building reliable, user-friendly applications. After graduating in Automatic Control and Robotics, she discovered her passion for programming and hasn’t looked back since.

Niels Tanis has got a background in .NET development, pentesting and security consultancy. He is Microsoft MVP and has been involved in breaking, defending and building secure applications. Jerry Nixon is a Microsoft SQL Server Principal Product Manager on the Developer Experiences team, championing Data API builder. With more than two decades of experience, Jerry is an engineer at heart. He teaches Computer Science at university and speaks at events worldwide. Over the years, he has trained thousands of developers, but today, he focuses on software simplicity, intuitive tooling, and excellence in data-driven apps. Marcel Britsch is an independent Digital Consultant, Product Owner and Agile Transformation specialist. Born in Germany, he has been living and working in London for over 20 years. James Eastham is a Serverless Developer Advocate at Datadog and a Microsoft MVP. He has over 10 years of software experience at all layers of the software development process and has spoken at conferences all over the world.

He answered phones in front-line support, administered databases, and built SSIS packages, as well as developed cloud-native backends with serverless technologies. He spent time at AWS working with some of the biggest companies on the planet, migrating workloads from data centers into the cloud and modernizing in the process.

Erwin Staal is an Azure Architect and DevOps consultant working for Xebia in the Netherlands. Helping companies deliver their software to customers using DevOps practices and cloud-native architectures is what he loves to do. He believes in the power of both the monolith and microservices and prefers to run his workload on the Azure Cloud and/or Kubernetes.

Øystein Hagen Blixhavn is passionate about getting stuff done, in basically all senses of the words. If it reduces wasteful effort and time, fantastic. If it improves the developer experience and increases their flow, amazing!
