Part 2/2: Context engineering, custom agents, and AI-first dev workflows w/ VS Code & GitHub Copilot
This hands‑on workshop introduces developers to a modern, agent‑driven approach to building applications with the help of AI. You’ll work through the creation of an interactive sample app while learning how to collaborate effectively with AI agents, structure context so they understand your project, and adopt development patterns that dramatically speed up iteration.
Across a guided, multi‑part lab, you’ll practice context engineering, design‑first UI exploration, test‑driven workflows, and multi‑agent orchestration using both local and cloud‑based agents. You’ll learn how to shape agent behavior, create specialized agents that support different phases of development, and integrate them into your everyday workflow.
By the end, you’ll have a practical understanding of how agentic development transforms the way software is built — enabling faster feature delivery, higher quality, and a more collaborative relationship between developers and AI.
